What I collect, why I need it, and what happens to it. Written to be read rather than skimmed past.

Who I am
3K Window Cleaning is a sole trader business run by Jay Sparkes, covering Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and Ferndown. For anything about your information, email info@3kwindowcleaning.co.uk or ring 07493 130225.
I am the data controller for the information described below.
What I collect, and why

I don't collect anything I don't need, and I don't buy or sell contact lists.
My lawful basis
- Answering an enquiry — legitimate interests. You asked me for a price, so replying is what you'd expect.
- Doing the work — performance of a contract.
- Keeping payment records — legal obligation. HMRC requires business records to be kept.
- Analytics cookies — consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time. See the cookie policy.
Who else sees it
A few companies handle information on my behalf. None of them use it for their own purposes.

Fonts on this site come from Bunny Fonts rather than Google Fonts, specifically because Bunny doesn't log visitor IP addresses.
Some of these companies are based outside the UK. Where that's the case, transfers are covered by the UK's approved safeguards.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to work — up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Customer records — for as long as you're a customer, and then as long as HMRC requires for the payment side.
- Payment records — six years, which is the legal minimum for business records.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you what I hold, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Just email or ring — there's no form to fill in and it costs nothing. I'll respond within a month.
If you're not happy with how I've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I'd rather you told me first so I can put it right.
Children
This site isn't aimed at children and I don't knowingly collect information about them.
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it.
