No cookies unless you say so.

Last updated 28 August 2026. Short version: this site sets no cookies at all unless you agree to analytics.

What's set by default

Nothing. No advertising, no tracking pixels, no social media cookies. If you never touch the cookie banner, nothing is stored on your device beyond your choice about the banner itself.

That choice is kept in your browser's local storage under 3k-consent. It isn't a cookie, isn't sent to any server, and only records whether you said yes or no and when.

If you accept analytics

Google Analytics is loaded, which sets these:

_ga_<id>	Keeps track of the current visit	2 years

I use this to see which pages people actually read and which towns enquiries come from. I can't see who you are from it, and IP addresses are anonymised.

Nothing loads until you accept. The tag isn't on the page at all beforehand, so declining genuinely means nothing runs — not that it runs quietly.

Changing your mind

Use the cookie settings link, which is also at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing is one click, same as accepting. Declining clears any analytics cookies already set.

You can also clear cookies through your browser settings, which works on any website.

Things that aren't cookies

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, keeps short-term security logs to block attacks. Those aren't cookies and aren't used to track you.

The Google reviews on the homepage are fetched by my own server before the page reaches you, so Google isn't told you visited.
